Business Networking in East Renfrewshire | Chamber of Commerce
Ask most business owners what they find most valuable about Chamber membership, and networking tends to come near the top of the list. It's one of those things that can feel a bit daunting if you haven't done much of it before, but once you're in the habit, the connections you make can have a real impact on your business.
Here's how East Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce can help you build those connections.
Business Breakfasts
Our monthly Business Breakfasts are the heartbeat of the Chamber's networking activity. Held at venues across East Renfrewshire on the last Thursday of the month, they're designed to be relaxed and informal: a chance to have a proper conversation with other local business owners over breakfast, without any pressure.
They finish by 11am, so they're a nice way to start the day before heading into the office or on to your next commitment. Events are free or discounted for members, and open to non-members too, so they're a low-risk way to dip your toe in if you're new to networking. You can book a place at eastrenchamber.org.uk.
The member directory
As a Chamber member, you'll have a listing in our member business directory, which means other members can find you, learn what you do and get in touch. It's a simple but effective way to raise your profile within the local business community, and it means you're visible to people who are actively looking to work with or refer local businesses.
The referral scheme
Word of mouth is still one of the most powerful ways to grow a business, and our referral scheme is built around exactly that.
Being part of the Chamber puts you in a community of businesses that are encouraged to refer and recommend each other, which can open doors that cold outreach simply can't.
A wider network
Your Chamber membership doesn't just connect you with businesses in East Renfrewshire. As an accredited member of the British Chambers of Commerce and an affiliate of Scottish Chambers of Commerce, we're part of a much larger network.
That means opportunities to connect beyond the local area, including access to international trade missions for businesses with an eye on export or overseas partnerships.
Networking works best when it's consistent, so the more you engage - whether that's attending events, updating your directory listing, or making introductions -the more you'll get out of it.
