Making the Most of Your Chamber Membership
Joining the Chamber is the first step, but getting real value from your membership comes down to how actively you engage with what's on offer. It's surprisingly easy to sign up and then carry on as before, particularly when you're busy running a business. This post is a straightforward guide to making sure you're actually using what you're paying for.
Set up your Quest access
Quest is one of the most immediately practical benefits of membership and one that members sometimes forget to activate. You have access to advice lines covering HR, health and safety, legal, and tax and VAT, as well as an extensive online document library.
If you haven't yet explored what's available, a good starting point is booking a free one-to-one with a Quest Business Support Manager. They'll walk you through what's available and help you identify where Quest can add the most value to your business.
Look into the Westfield Health Cash Plan
If you have employees, the Westfield Health Cash Plan is worth a serious look. Starting from £7.41 per employee per month, it gives your team cashback on everyday healthcare costs and access to a range of health and wellbeing services. It's a straightforward way to demonstrate that you value your staff without a large outlay.
Come to a Business Breakfast
If you haven't yet attended one of our monthly Business Breakfasts, put the next one in your diary. They're relaxed, they finish by 11am, and they're the easiest way to start building connections within the local business community. You can book at eastrenchamber.org.uk.
Check your directory listing
Make sure your business directory listing is accurate and up to date. It's a simple thing, but it means other members can find you and understand what you do. If you're not sure what your listing says, get in touch and we'll check it together.
Sign up for the newsletter
Our monthly newsletter is where we share member news, upcoming events, business updates and resources. If you're not receiving it, email us at [email protected] and we'll make sure you're on the list.
Tell people you're a member
It sounds obvious, but mentioning your Chamber membership - on your website, in your email signature, on social media - signals to other businesses that you're part of the local community and open to connections. It also helps us grow, which benefits everyone in the network.
And finally: refer a business
If you know another business in East Renfrewshire that would benefit from membership, let us know. Our referral scheme rewards you for making the introduction, and every new member strengthens the network for everyone.
If you have any questions about your membership or want to make sure you're getting the most from it, we're always happy to chat. Email [email protected] or visit www.eastrenchamber.org.uk.
